Obituary of Lorna May Montroy

God has taken another Angel.

Lorna May Montroy in her 87th year, passed away peacefully at the Brockville General Hospital on November 27, 2019 with her loving family by her side. She will be forever loved by her sons Sheldon (Sheri) and Dean (Laurie), as well as grandchildren Shawn (Ashley), Tina (Mark), Sonya (Ken), Bradley (Amy), Kelsey and nine greatgrandchildren.

Lorna was born the third of eight children to the late William and Etta Dillabough (nee Beach) of South Gower. She married George William “Bill”
Montroy of Kemptville in 1953. Together they raised their four children at Bedell in Kemptville. After the death of her husband, Lorna continued to live and work in Kemptville until deciding to move her family to Shanly to be with her mother.

Lorna was a dedicated employee of Bayfield Manor Nursing Home in Kemptville where she truly enjoyed interacting with the residents, their families and the staff. She was well known for her strength, determination, kindness and generosity.

She was predeceased by her husband Bill, her daughter Darlo, son Richard, and sisters Ruth (Ryan), Berniece (Gilmour), and Darlo Jean.

She will be greatly missed by her siblings Lloyd (Donna), Muriel (Carl), Merilyn (Alex), Glenn (Susan) and her many nieces and nephews.
At Lorna’s request there will be private service at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Prader Willi Foundation will be greatly appreciated by the family.
