Obituary of Harry James Taylor

Friday December 13, Harry James Taylor (Jim), 73, of Cardinal, passed peacefully at home, surrounded by his family and friends.

He is survived by his loving wife Beverley of 40 years, his children; eldest son Sean, daughter Shelly Giek (Greg), youngest son Cory (Tina), and ‘special daughter’ Nichole Adams, their grandchildren, Haley, Sam, Evan, Oliver and Cameron, as well as many nieces, nephews, and relatives.

A man of the highway for almost 50 years, Jim was fortunate to meet some great friends on his many journeys. Spending time with family and friends, living life on his terms, fully, authentically and bravely until his last day, Jim will be remembered for his witty humour (Jimmy’isms), his big heart and uniqueness.

Born to the late Harry and Lois Taylor of Ottawa, Jim was one of four children; Peter (Margot), Jane King (Ernie) and Scott (Andrea).

A special thanks to Jim’s fabulous nurses, Lindsay and Shannon, and Dr. Thomas for their thoughtful care and support during the past few months.

A celebration of life will be held at a later time to honour the memory of a great man.
