Obituary of Donna Gail Ferguson

A lover of people, parties, music, dancing, swimming and garage sales, Donna Gail (Cannon) Ferguson died at the Brockville General Hospital on Monday February 15, 2021 at the age of 62. Donna had previously worked at Career Services, Fulford Home and St. Lawrence College as the coffee cart lady and as a volunteer at BGH
with the magazine cart. She expressed her creative and artistic talents by making birdhouses and pottery, and even sold several pieces. Donna, her husband Gord, and her mother-in-law Audrey were annual visitors to the Delta Fair and many community events.

Donna was predeceased by her husband Gordon Ferguson, her parents, Verna and Bin Cannon, her mother-in-law, Audrey Ferguson and niece, Marianne Cannon. She is survived by her sisters Judy (Tom) Little, Fernie BC and Joanne Cannon, Armstrong BC, nephew Geoffrey and nieces Jennifer and Mikaela all of British Columbia.

Donna and Gord both were very much part of the Brockville and District Association for Community Involvement (BDACI) and People First. BDACI provided care, love and advocacy for both Donna and Gord with many caring support workers. Thank you to the staff on 2 East, BGH, Dr. Muldowney and others involved with Donna's care during her final week.

A celebration of life will be arranged as circumstances allow. Interment of her ashes will be at the family plot at the Yonge Mills Cemetery. Donations to BDACI and Community Involvement Legacy Homes would be gratefully acknowledged.
