Obituary of Donalda Jean Barkley
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Donalda Barkley, who passed away peacefully, with family by her side on Sunday August 29, 2021 at the Brockville General Hospital at the age of 69.
Donalda is survived by her loving husband of 50 years, Ron. Loving children Jamie Barkley (Andrea) LauraLee Barkley (Chris), proud Nan to Cassidy Barkley (Dylan) Jersey Barkley, Mason Barkley and great Nan to Averee. Also survived by her sisters Laurie Williams (Roger) Marylee Mathieu (Gilles) Carol Wright, brothers Donald King (Melanie) Charlie King (Shirley) , many nieces and nephews, and her beloved dog Peanut. She was predeceased by her parents Donald and Rachel King.
Donalda was always a hard-working woman. She retired several years ago from the Upper Canada District School Board's custodial staff and St.John's United Church. She will be missed by many past co-worker and students along the way.
Special thanks to Dr. Thomas for his exceptional care and compassion in her final days, also to the BGH nurses and staff on the Palliative Care floor.
Due to Covid, a private graveside service will be held at the Mallorytown Cemetery.
