Obituary of Sharon Elizabeth McBride

It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of our Mother Sharon McBride 61 from Brockville Ontario passed with her daughters holding her hand on January 5th 2022. 

Sharon is predeased by her parents Kenneth and June Vanderveer.

She is survived by her loving daughters Amber and Dawn McBride, Debra Longstaff and her adored niece Christina Steacy. Her grandchildren Brianne (23), Samantha (11), Charles(14) and Christopher (27) and many Great Grandchildren 

Also survived by her siblings Joanna Uravic, Deborah VanDerveer, Phil VanDerveer, and Ken VanDerveer as well as many nieces and nephews.

Sharon spent 20+ dedicated years as a supervisor at The Royal Brock Hotel. As many of you know her deep love for cleaning. Sharon enjoyed a life full of family. Where she enjoyed spending her time cooking and caring for her loved ones. The past few years Sharon has found crafting and creating as a way to spend her time. Spending hundreds of hours creating beads, jewelry and crocheting hats and mitts for the homeless. Sharon has always used music as a way to celebrate life and bring joy to her heart, Cat Steven’s being her favourite singer. 

Due to Covid restrictions a celebration of life will be scheduled at a later date.
